How to prevent lash lift from not lifting.
Have you ever gone through an hour or 2 hours long lash lift treatment, just to realize that your client’s lashes aren’t lifted as you expected?
There are many factors why the lashes might have not been lifted or curled. I will explain a few steps you can take to create perfect lifts or curls:
1. SOFTENING AND OXIDIZATION CHECK
Please check the elasticity of the lashes at two points during the lash lift treatment.
A. Softening check
Take one thick hair and check how soft it has become. Do the softening check several different parts of the lashes.
This check is done after the First solution has been left on for an appropriate amount of time (10 mins for Cite First(Cite Keratin Lash Lift) and 3-5mins for No.1 Agent- Lash Lift Lotion Set))
※If the lashes are not soft, leave on for about 2 more minutes and check again
(With Cite First, the structure of eyelashes is softened and separates the SS-bond of the lashes)

B. Oxidation/hardening check
Take one thick hair and check how the hair bounces back when folded. Do the oxidization check in several different parts of the lashes. If the hair does not bounce back, leave the solution on for a few more minutes and check again.
This needs to be done after the Second solution has been left on for an appropriate amount of time (Cite First processing time + 2 mins. For example, 12 mins if Cite First is left on 10 mins and 3-5mins for No.2 Agent).
(With Cite Second, the SS-bound of the lashes are rebonded /oxidized.)

2. ROD SELECTION
Please select the rod by carefully evaluating your clients’ eyes and the lash design they are looking for.
3. Amount of GLUE used
Avoid applying too much glue, as it will lump up which will affect the lash treatment.
4. When using CITE FIRST
Application: Please make sure to apply it on the root to the tip of the lashes.
Use a clean glue pad to press down the protruding hair, this will also get those very short lashes to curl. (Check the video below at 6:00 for application)
Also, use a cosmetic wrap to cover the lashes during the processing time. The cosmetic wrap will trap body heat and makes the treatment more effective. (Check the video below at 6:30 for application)
